		<description>Well i disagree about the PDs, who were economically very right orientated towards the neo-liberal free market, &quot;pirvitise everything!&quot;. Although they spoke about social liberalism and other nice soft sounding lefty concpts, they were esentially the free-marketier/economic liberalisation party of the Republic (so economically right, but socially populist). But they got voted out of existence in the same year you referenced. That said, you are completely right about the lack of substantial devide between FF and FG stifiling progress in Irish politics for decades now, reducing us to personality and local politics.</description>
