the Blogger
The blogger is a (sigh) 30 year old honours graduate of The Queen’s University of Belfast in Politics, and of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, with the Diploma in Public Relations. He was Convenor of the Northern Ireland Student Movement (NUS-USI), a full-time member of the National Executive of the National Union of Students UK and, perplexingly, also National President of the Union of Students in Ireland.
He was President of Conservative Future Northern Ireland twice, and the first full-time national student officer in the UK to be drawn from the ranks of the Conservative Party. He was Constituency Secretary for North Down Conservatives in 2007.
He has served on the Higher Education Authority of the Republic of Ireland, the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland and the Irish Universities Quality Board.
The blogger is intensely political, enjoys gadgetry of all sorts, ignoring the dreary and childish world of Irish politics, and works in information and Public Relations for a prominent Human Rights organisation in Dublin. Usually blogging from his iPhone, he’s happiest when looking at poll results putting Cameron’s Conservatives well in the lead over Gordon the Moron.
He lives, at least for the moment, in Castleknock, Dublin, and seeks fun and excitement and really wild times at Peats Electronics of Parnell Street, Chapters bookstore, reading the political blogs and making fun of Derek Draper.
