Contraception

Contraception has been around for thousands of years but today we have many options available to us. Trying to decide which option to use can be confusing.  You don’t have to make your decision alone;  involving your partner, parent/friend and doctor in your decision can help. Talking about contraception shouldn’t be embarrassing it’s a normal part of life. There are a few things you can do to make the conversation easier.

When talking about contraception, it’s important to remember:

  • It is your right to determine when, with whom, how and where you want to have sex
  • It is your right to make your own choices
  • It is your right to abstain from sexual activity
  • It is your right to protect yourself from pregnancy and disease
  • It is your right to enjoy yourself
