The excellent head of Ireland’s Equality Authority has resigned, citing the ridiculous 43% cut in the authority’s budget in the recent budget.
The decision is a blow; Crowley had been immensely successful at the authority, and is recognised for the highly visible nature of the work it does and the open culture of the body.
