When dealing with a party of sick moronic hacks like Libertas, there’s no need to really apply one’s intellect. Instead, let’s turn to the basic politics of gut reaction.
A bunch of opportunists initially concerned about various aspects of the Lisbon Treaty (who wasn’t?) in Ireland (who cares?), they have decided to set up shop all across the EU, irrespective of whether they in so doing split the vote of parties with somewhat similar or closely competing objectives.
I despise the whole idea of a political party controlled from the centre, stretched across the EU. It goes against my conception of the Europe of the Nation States, and I will therefore begin to make fun of Libertas and their candidates with gay abandon henceforth.
